 Mary Wilson has more than 30 years’ experience in career coaching/transition, employee/leadership development, performance management, group facilitation, team effectiveness, conflict resolution, and designing and conducting workshops for both the profit and non-profit sectors.
Mary draws on her diverse experience as a human resources professional, corporate trainer, business publications writer/editor, and coach to help each individual discover and leverage his/her unique talents. Her approach to coaching clients through career transition is to offer practical tools—such as how to write a stand-out resume—along with deep listening, caring and support. Mary provides a calm, upbeat presence that enables clients to gain insights on their abilities and accomplishments. She then guides them to success by helping them match their skills to the career they want, market themselves to potential employers, and overcome roadblocks on the way to their desired outcomes.

Specific projects she has worked on include: providing career transition services and programs for managers, supervisors and employees affected by the A-76 Competitive Sourcing Process, and for private sector clients undergoing transition or downsizing; designing and conducting workshops on effective interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, team effectiveness, customer service, time mastery, and effective supervisory practices; providing coaching to help individuals interpret and take action on 360 degree feedback; consulting on employee development strategies, human resource management, team development, and redesign of work flow processes; designing and writing training manuals.
Mary has assisted a number of organizations including the NIH Transition Center, Sartorius Stedim Systems, American Association for Cancer Research, Hershey Foods, AT & T Broadband, McDonald’s Corporation, Future Beef Operations, Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Company and Bethlehem Steel Corporation. In addition, she is on the consulting faculty of Creative Energy Options, facilitating a program focused on extraordinary leadership practices, and providing coaching to help leaders effect and sustain change; and is an Adjunct Professor in the Leadership Development Institute at Northampton Community College, designing and delivering training to managers and individual contributors.
She holds an M.A. in English and a B.A. in French. Mary is a Certified Mediator and a Certified Master Trainer (Development Dimensions International). She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management; a member, Past Chapter President and Board Member of the American Society for Training & Development, and a featured speaker at many professional meetings and conferences. She is also an accomplished keyboard musician who serves as organist at a church in her community.
